Mom is a housewife, who looks after her children, her cattles and makes khoa (nepalese dairy product) to sell. In terms of staple food, since this village is on top of a hill only potatoes and mustard grows here. Except some local vegetables they have to import everything from the city. Father sends money on monthly basis. But after paying mostly for food and debt they sometimes save 200RMB monthly. Their house has 2 rooms. One is used for kitchen and another room has 2 beds where all of them sleep together.
