Due poor financial conditon students stuffed in a room and even remain hungry for many days. METTA Volunteers served them with entire kitchen set with a month of food and uniform, slippers and stationery to all the pupils. Manisha will be the 1st girl in the village graduating from standard eight this year. Early marriage around 14 was common. 7 years back I visited a boy whom I gifted my warm jacket got married at 14 without graduating at grade 8. Now he\'s a father of a child. Manisha\'s home Sahumara is a day walk up hill/mountain in remote part of Southern Lalitpur, Nepal. In her village,no network for mobile communication, no shop, only option is on foot hiking with backpack or sack carrying necessities from 4-5 hrs. up/down mountain & forest along with narrow path. Parents are illiterate farmers. Their property is a little land, a small clay and stone made house and a buffalo. They farm rely on small pieces of land around an acre in slopy mountain area, no good irrigation system and not fertile land either. So not enough food growing in the field. Therefore, Father goes out of village in search of manual works: porter, local house building, etc. And now started little coffee growing but not enough land so earning is very low. So ,the annual income is about NRS 50000 (USD 350) since they hardly transact labor in money, rather in turn wise of helping in the farms. Their monthly expense is around NRS 5000 - 10000 depending upon the income. Hence, they hardly have a good food to eat and hardly warm clothes in winter. They wash dress occasionally so sweat smell is common among villagers. They keep buffalo but can\'t go for selling milk as it\'s too far.
